Vincent Terrell McDaniel, 57, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026. Celebration of life Service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 1 pm at First Baptist Church, Slaton. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2026 from 4pm to 6pm at Griffin Mortuary. Vincent Terrell McDaniel was born April 29, 1969, in Lubbock to the late Joseph and Evelyn McDaniel. He attended school in Slaton, Texas, where he was an ative student-athlete, participating in basketball, football, and track. He graduated in 1987. On June 7, 2003, he married his beloved wife, the late Melody McDaniel.

Vince was a dedicated and hardworking man. He ws employed with Llano Logistics for 20 years before continuing his career with Gandy’s where he worked for 6 years. Je took great pride in his work and was known for his commitment and dedictioan throughout his career.

Vince (daddy) was the life of the party, the kind of person who could light up any room the second hewalked in. He’s laughter and his energy drew people in without effort wherever he was that was the dance floor. Wherever Vince (daddy) went the mood shifted-suddenly full of joy. Friends gravitated towards him, knowing that Vince (daddy) was around, the nigh was guaranteed to be unforgettable.

He is preceded in death by his bellowed wife Melody McDaniel, his parents Joseph and Evelyn McDaniel, his grandparents Zenobia and Frankie Robinson, his beloved grandchild Vontavian McDaniel, his two aunts, his three uncles, and his two nieces.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Vincent McDaniel of Lubbock TX, Quaylon McDaniel of Slaton TX, Deyonta McDaniel and Terence McDaniel of Lubbock, TX, Quanasia McDaniel of Miami FL, and Quevon McDaniel of Slaton TX, 17 grandchildren Zariah, Naomi, Yzamiah, Samija, Eli, Niyla, Vincent Jr., Jazavion, Karsyn, Aubree, Ja’Brayla, Iyanna, Korbyn, Kingston, Easton, Isaiah, and Jailynn, his two sisters Gail Williams and Christina (Andre) Johnson of Lubbock TX, his four brothers Joe McDaniels, Bobby Joe Robinson both of Lubbock TX, Anthony White and Greg (Luseka) White of Fort Worth TX, his seven aunts Rita (Charlie) Knighten, Shirley Mask, Coretta Wilborn, Joyce Ann Whaley, and Margie McDaniel all of Slaton TX, Cynthia (Darrell) Wilson and Doris Nell Ewing both of Fort Worth TX, his uncle Johnny Robinson of Houston TX, his two great aunts Sylvialene Barnett of Lubbock TX and Lerline Dickson of Denver CO, his great uncle Lincoln Green of Houston TX, his stepmother Ethria White of Fort Worth TX, his special friends James, Gerald, Stu, and Earl, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
