Vickie Moore, 65, was called home to be in the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 with her family by her side. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11 am at First Baptist Church in Crosbyton, TX. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Griffin Mortuary from 4pm to 6pm. Vickie was born on February 13, 1959 to Albert Earl Moore and Lillian Dean Moore in Kosse, Texas. She was educated in the Crosbyton Public Schools and graduated from Crosbyton High School. She was born Vickie, but everyone knows her as “Sweet”. Sweet was wonderfully devoted to her 4 children Jeremy, LaTrisha, Richard, IV and Rodrick. For many years Vickie worked in the healthcare field. It suited her servant's heart. She loved taking care of people. She immediately lit up any the room she entered and made an impact on so many people. She was a joyful presence with her exquisite taste in clothes, beautiful hair styles, creative fashion choices, and bubbly personality. She had a flair for baking and shared her love with her signature ‘made from scratch pound’ cake and peach cobbler. Vickie was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church of Desoto, Texas.
Vickie is preceded in death by her father, Albert Earl Moore, sons; Jeremy Eugene Moore and Rodrick Duane Rollison, brothers Anthony Moore and Alvesta Moore; sisters Linda Blue, Pamela Debose and Rosetta Debose.
Vickie is survived in legacy by her mother Lillian Moore, her daughter Latrisha Rollison, of Dallas, TX, and her son, Richard Rollison, IV. Her sisters: Marilyn Moore of Crosbyton, TX, Ruby Campbell (Jesse) of Richardson, TX, Betty Moore (Derrick Savage) of Dallas, TX, Margie Moore of Lancaster, TX and Nicole Jackson of Dallas, TX. Her brothers: Ivan Moore (Pearlene) of Abilene, TX, Grady Moore of San Antonio, TX, Marvin Moore (Annette) of Schertz, TX, and Kelly Debose (Sydney) of Athens, TX. She was a loving grandmother to Deajunic Moore, Adrianna Garza, Antjuanique Overstreet, Cameron Rollison, Kaden Salazar, Kiara Moody, Jyea Marion Dial Moore, JerVon Eugene Moore, Tyrah Rollison, Ayden Overstreet, Jordan Duane Rollison, Daedrian Rollison, lifelong friend and father of her children, Richard Rollison, III, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
