Vernon Lee Garner

Vernon Lee Garner, 69, passed a way on October 1, 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will be held  Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 1pm at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Vernon Lee Garner was born on April 19, 1957 to the parentage of Classie Lee and LB Garner.

Vernon attended Estacado High School in the Lubbock Independent School District. Later on in life Vernon Garner enlisted into the U.S. Army where he served our country. Vernon also loved the Lord and rededicated his life to Christ.

Vernon was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Your wings were ready, our hearts were not.

He is preceded in death by his father L. B. Garner, his mother Classie Lee Garner, his brother Clarence C. Garner, his siters Bobbie Mitchell, Gladine garner, and Sharlett Garner.

He is survived by his brother Lawrence Garner, his nieces Katrina Garner, Kawatha Garner, Cynthia White, April Mitchell, and Kahava Mitchell, his nephews LaJerian Mitchell, Arthur Garner, Milton Garner, Cornelius White “Batman”, and Vincent McDowell Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
