Velvet Elaine Price Foster, 63, passed away on Friday, January 9th, 2026. Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11 am at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.

Velvet Elaine Price Foster was born on August 15, 1962 to Lula Mae Price Johnson and Calvin Mooring. She loved her family and helping others. She worked as a home healthcare worker. She was an avid domino player and loved to cook.

She is preceded by her parents her mother Lula Mae Price Johnson, her father Calvin Mooring, her siblings Tony Carroll Price, Troy Johnson, and Alfonso Johnson her grandchildren Myowne Joi Tyler and Mystin Raine Tyler

She is survived by her husband Charles Foster, her daughters Aukeshia Tyler, Clarissa Price,

and Maquita Shaw, her grandchildren Equillion Tyler, Jabez Tyler, Sunny Rose, Xzorion Deshawn Price, Alexis Joy Price, Jadoris Prince Price McKnight, Janus Lavell Price McKnight, Tyshawn Graceson Montell Shaw, Jolene Hope Shaw, Malachi Shaw, Mia Grace Shaw Mills, Ciriya McDowell, Kenndell McDowell, Arrian McDowell, and Eli Jae Harris, her great grandchildren Kyrie Davis, Kirdae Davis, and Khalil Davis, her siblings Jocelyn Clay, Lydia Walker, Janice Dickson, Donna Kay Dickson, Calvin Patterson, and Andre Patterson, her daughters in love Anndrena Foster and Charona Foster, special in her heart, her nieces and nephews Marquis Clay, Ruitonia Evan, Tonya Swanson, Tamara Clay Mosley (Kortney), Anthony Draper, Tarvaris Johnson, Jatonia Garcia, Tony Swanson, Calondra Bradley, and Naji West, and a host of other relatives and friends.
