Tonie McClinton Lusk

Celebration of Life Service, for Tonie M. Lusk, will be held Friday, February 10, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Divine Love Baptist Church. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Tonie McClinton Lusk was born March 11, 1955 in Corsicana, TX to Tysium and Leavera Lusk. He transitioned on January 27, 2023 in Lubbock, TX. He attended Roosevelt High School in Lubbock, TX where he excelled in track and field and football. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army in which he completed two tours. Upon his discharge from the military, he worked for companies such as Dr. Pepper and Coca Cola and ended his career working for Wilkerson Cold Storage. He attended Divine Love Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Kenneth Burns where he volunteered in a leadership role. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Tonie is preceded in death by a daughter Nikki Lusk, his father Tysium Lusk, a sister Veola Henry (Bobby), and two brothers, Alfred and Willie Lusk (Darlena). He leaves to cherish his memory, five daughters- Shalina High, Tikishia Lusk-Wilkerson (Derek), Pansy Lusk Avery (Aaron), Veola "Betsy" Lusk (Michael), Toni Lusk, one son- Anthony Lusk, his 92 year old mother- Leavera "Granny" Lusk, 13 grandchildren, two brothers- Tysium Lusk Jr. "TJ", Roger Lusk (Sharon), two sisters- Annie Menton (Michael), Laverne "Sookie" Conner, and a host of other relatives and friends who loved him as much as he loved them.
