Tommy Lee Flournoy, Sr., 87, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Brownfield, TX. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Brownfield, TX under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Tommy Lee Flournoy, Sr. was born on June 10th, 1936, to Augusta and J. B. Flournoy in Nacogdoches, TX. He was the youngest of seven children. He attended school in Nacogdoches, TX where he graduated. Tommy began his career with Amarada Hess Oil Company. He continued his employment until he retired in the early 90s. Tommy will be remembered for his hard work and kind spirit that he displayed to everyone that knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, J. B. and Augusta Flournoy; daughters, Barbara D. Flournoy and Terri Joyce Flournoy; son, Marcus Lynn Flournoy; and a special nephew, Steve Flournoy that his uncle Sonny adored. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Tammy Flournoy and Donna Hill; his sons, Jimmy Flournoy, Michael Cleveland, Carlos Flournoy, Tommy Lee Flournoy, Jr., and Roderick J. Flournoy; 40 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
