Teresa E. Young

Teresa E. Young, 51, transitioned from this life to her eternal life. Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025, at 1 pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Slaton. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Griffin Mortuary. Teresa E. Young was born in Idabel, OK on June 19th, 1974, to Lester Harris and Mary L. Eason. She moved to Wichita Falls, TX where she graduated high school. She then moved to Slaton, where she made it her home.

Teresa is preceded by her mother Mary Louise Eason, her father Lester Harris, her brother Jimmy Noble, Reggie Harris, and Christopher Lewis.

Teresa is survived by her husband Alvin Young, her four daughters, her sisters Teresa Ann Harris, Salethia Harris, Chaunta Blake, and Lashunda Jordan, her brother Ronnie Leifert, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
