Sheldon Jimmy Green

Sheldon Jimmy Green, 67, gained his wings on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Word of Truth. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Sheldon Jimmy Green was born on January 21, 1959 to Iwas and Irma Green. He received Christ at an early age. He went to Estacado but received his G.E.D. before doing four years in the United States Army. He worked at several different restaurants before detailing cars in which he loved to do. He was a humble, giving, praying, and full of faith man who loved life, but yet a simple man.

His favorite thing to say, “girl why you do that?” “you ain’t worth two dead flees, and good luck with that.” He loved all sports and board games. He will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Iwas and Irma Green, his sisters Vera Chatman, Ruby Johnson, Dorothy McKinzie, Lucretia Green and Thelo Green, his brothers Freddy Green Sr., Avance Green, Vincent Green, and Donald Green.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his special niece Denajah Green, his special nephew Xzavier Green, his sisters Eddie Lee Atkins (Ellis), Portia Knox, and Sheryl Green, and a host of other relatives and friends.
