Shasity Toinea Johnson, 44, passed away on Thursday, June 12th, 2025. Celebration of life Service will be held Friday, June 27ht, 2025 at 11 am at Church of the Nations Church. Private Disposition will follow under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Wake will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 3pm to 5pm at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Shasity Toinea Johnson was born to Vernea Johnson and Eddie Tates, Jr. on October 24th, 1981 in Lubbock, Texas. She thoroughly enjoyed shopping daily and Mexican food.

Shasity received her high school diploma from Estacado High School. After high school she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, then a Certified Medication Assistant.

Shasity is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother JoAnn Miller, her sister Shermona Williams, her paternal grandparents Eddie, Sr. and Vernell Tates

Shasity leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons Zyron Johnson and Zarius Coleman, her sisters Shika Reed, Shonnea Williams, Latrice Jeffrey (Daniel), Shardee Johnson Princess Tates, and Genesis Tates, her brothers Hezekiah Tates and Isaiah Tates, her grandchildren Amavi Johnson and Azlynn Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
