Sharonda Boyd-Hastings

Sharonda Hastings, 43, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Divine Love Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Sharonda Boyd Hastings was born on April 20, 1979, to A.C. Barnes, Jr. and Gloria Boyd in Lubbock, TX. She attended Bozeman Elementary, Alderson Jr. High, and Estacado High School. Sharonda was a loving person who loved her family. She later met and married Henry Hastings in May 2012, in which she remained until her death. She worked with the school district healthcare provider and family dollar. She would always lend a helping hand to anyone who needed help. Sharonda is preceded in death by grandparents, AC and Ruby Barnes; aunts, Donna Carr, Maggie Sanders, Ruby J, Mary Joel, and Erma Barnes; uncles, Lee Andrew, Leonard, and Lie Neil Barnes. Sharonda leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Henry Hastings; mother, Gloria Boyd, father, A.C. Barnes, Jr.; sister, Carnicia Humphrey; grandparents, Doris Carr and Gary Sanders; brothers, Rick Cox, Jeremy Boyd, and Aaron Boyd; four aunts, three uncles; three brothers-in-laws; three sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
