Ryan LaSean Davis was born on February 12, 1969, in Lubbock, Texas, to Wayne Davis and Zenobia Davis (Thomas). He peacefully passed away on July 10, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 26th, 2025, at 11 am at New Hope Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm Friday, July 25th, 2025, at Griffin Mortuary.
Ryan was baptized at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church in Lubbock. He received his
education through Lubbock Public Schools and graduated with honors from Estacado High School in 1987. While at Estacado, Ryan excelled as an athlete, earning athletic scholarships to attend both New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas.
Ryan married Kisha Moody of Los Angeles, California and together they shared 26 loving years of marriage. Their union was blessed with three children. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, friend and uncle-known for his loyalty, strength, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Davis.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kisha Davis; their three children, Ryan Davis Jr., Akeila Davis, and Malachi Davis, all of Atlanta, Georgia; his sister, Monique Davis Akins (Lamont Jr.) of Tampa, Florida; his brother, Malcolm Moore of Lubbock, Texas; his mother, Zenobia Thomas of Stone Mountain, Georgia; nephews, Lamont Akins III, Karmelo Cooper, Karmion Cooper, Zion Hoyt, Zyron Hoyt, Donnell Hoyt IV, and Carter Moody, relatives, and close friends who will cherish his memory forever.

As we mourn the loss of our beloved Ryan, we are also stepping into a new chapter of responsibility and care. Ryan leaves behind six young nephews that he and Kisha are committed to ensuring they are surrounded by love, stability, and opportunity.
