Rhyhine Brashawd Owens "Blue"

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Rhyhine Brashawd Owens on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Viewing will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11 am at Griffin Mortuary Chapel, followed by a celebration of life service at 12 pm. Private Disposition will follow under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.

Rhyhine is the son of Sandra and Charles Owens. Rhyhine was a loving husband and father to his wife Clara Owens, and two sons Javaughn Owens and Rhyhine Owens Jr and daughter Destiney Owens. His legacy continues to live on through his grandchildren Jamariyanna Liara Owens, Amecia Rae Owens, Aamarion Legend Owens, and JèèMarion Prince Owens.

He is survived by many family members including his sisters Candra Duncan, Melissa Agwata, and Kaala Drones, nephews Joriah Drones, Kodi Russell, Kwamaine Russell, Charles Thomas Jr, and Jaquobe Jordan Zacheus Russell and, nieces JaNiah Drones, Shakira Russell, Alaejia Russell, Brinajah Sumberlin and Genesis Russell and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rhyhine is joined in death by his aunts, uncles, grandparents and brother Robert "Tojo" Russell.

Though our hearts are broken, his love and legacy will live on in each of us forever.

He was a cherished father, husband, brother, and friend. Rhyhine will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We invite you to join us in the celebration of his life.
