Phyllis Arline McCutchin-Turner

Phyllis Arline MCutchin-Turner, 63, passed away on thursday, October 26th, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, November 17th, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Praise Center Ministries. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, November 16th, 2023 at Griffin Mortuary from 4 to 6 p.m. On December 12th, 1959 a star was born Phyllis Arline McCutchin-turner to Bernice Turner and Isaac Detroit McCutchin in Lubbock, TX. She attended Estacado High School and graduated in the class of 1978, where she played on the first all ladies football team and was also in the choir. Arline, known as Lee Lee to friends and family and later chocolate to most, was the class clown and everybody;s favorite. She had the most beautiful voice and would either bring you joy or bring you to tears instantly. She was very protective of her friends and family. She would always make you laugh. She loved to cook, sing, joke, and play the piano. She had the most beautiful smile and personality to match. She was very talented  winning multiple spring fusion talent shows and she was truly a star and will be missed by a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Bernice Turner and Isaac Detroit McCutchin, brother Elbert Whiteside, one grandson Keshone Washington, three sisters Lula Mae Mathews, Trudy Wilson, and Loraine Baxter. She leaves to cherish her memory; three daughters Natisha Turner, Kayla McCutchin, and Shayla McCutchin, one son Demarick Woods, nine grandchildren Natia Bell, Tonysha Bell, Damarion Woods, Keith Washington, Zyterrian Robinson, Jordan Woods, Davarrus woods, and Rashad Jackson, Jr., two great-granddaughters Teagan Marie Stovall and Reagan Kabre Stovall, sisters Franncis Henderson, Vickey McNeal, Sharon Stewart, Cynthia McCutchin, and Brenda McCutchin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
