Percy Mae Williams

Percy Mae Williams, 83, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 21, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Percy Mae Williams was born to James Williams and Queen Estella Alexander on May 17, 1941. She attended Ella Iles and Dunbar High School in Lubbock, TX. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church since 1975. She truly loved the Lord and her church family.

After school she worked at Nubro Bearings, Texas Instruments, and later she worked as a home health aide. After taking care of others she decided to work for herself, and she began cleaning houses. After her health began to decline, she retired. She made everyone welcome in her house. Nana, you are now free to jump on clouds and eat as much chocolate as you want.from your baby doll

 Percy is preceded in death by her mother Queen Estell Alexander, her father James Williams, her brothers L.V. Davis, Lura Stephens, Carl Williams, Sr., and L.J. McCallan, her sisters Dorothy Moye and Joyce Adams, grandchildren TroDorris Coles ad Tione Coles, great-grandchild Shawn Smith.

 Percy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters Veronica Thomas (Kirby), Lisa Coles (Clifford), her adopted daughter Heather Hollinsworth, her son Craig Williams, her adopted sons Ben Meiwes, Justin Poland, and Lonnie Hollinsworth, her sister Jessie Barber, brother L.C. Alexander, her sisters-in-law Gwen McCallan and Ozzie Williams, her grandchildren Shondra Smith (Rick), Jerrandi Moore (Taymi), Jerrick Moore (Diadria), and GeLisa Thompson, her great grandchildren, Arelizze Moore, D’Khaia Moore, Jerrandi Moore, Jr., Jasmin Smith, Zamariah Robinson, and Gregory Robinson, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, ad friends.
