Patricia Pearl Blaylock

Patricia Pearl Blaylock, 68, passed away on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, June 13th, 2025, at 1 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 12th, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Patricia Pearl Blaylock was born on November 3rd, 1956 to Clarence Edward Blaylock. and Helen Jean Westbrook. She was the oldest of 5 children. Patricia attended school in Cameron, TX, where she graduated later in life. She moved to Lubbock, TX with her children. She worked for Lubbock State School for 12 years to take care of her children. She then started working in nursing facilities for many years until she retired in 2022. She loved working with the elderly and disabled; her passion was taking care of others whether it was family, friends, or strangers.

Patricia is preceded in death by her mother Helen Jean Wilbon, her father Clarence Edward Blaylock, her granddaughter Deyon KarShae Blaylock, and great grandson Desmond Blaylock.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory, her son Bengi Blaylock (Jasmine Simpson), her daughters Nicole Blaylock, Dematrice Powell (Robert White), Kimberly Blaylock, and Stephanie English, her sisters Debra Blaylock, Bessie Wilbon, Monique Blaylock, Teresa Childress, and Albertina Ross, her brothers Albert Wilbon, Jr., Charles Wilbon (LaTonya Robinson), Henry Ruth, John Paul Wilbon (Latasha), and David Ruth, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, very special Aunt Bridgette Ann Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
