Ophenia "Fee Fee" Halladay

Ophenia Halladay, 56, passed away on Saturday, June 14th, 2025. Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, June 28th, 2025, at 11 am at Praise Center Ministries. Private Disposition will follow under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Ophenia Halladay, who we called Fee Fee, was born in Lubbock, TX to Mildred and Melvin Ward, Jr. on January 29th, 1969. She attended Friendship Schools until her senior year when she transferred to Dunbar High School and graduated in 1986. She worked in Lubbock in retail until she moved to Waco, TX in 2000 and began working for Mailmax and worked there until she became ill and was no longer able to work.

Fee Fee brought a smile and a joke with her everywhere she went and never met a stranger. She was so giving and would help anyone she could, however she could. She loved her family and friends and we will forever be grateful for the time God gave us her.

Fee Fee is preceded in death by her mother Mildred Lee Ward, her father Melvin Ward, Jr., her grandmother Rebecca Anderson, and her grandfather Elijah Davis.

Fee Fee leaves behind her daughter Shaylon Lee Ann Halladay (Damine Maye), her son Richard Odell Halladay, her sisters Alene Ward (Thomas Goldsmith), Lanette Millner, and Lashell Monroe (Clarence Monroe), her brothers Richard Davis (Sharon Davis) and Christopher Ward (Lawanda Ward), her grandchildren Tadarius Dobbins, Lamaya Halladay, Sanya Halladay, and Naveah Halladay, her great grandchild Paris Unique Halladay, and a host of other relatives and friends.
