Mr. Micheal Carnell (Big Mike) Conner, 58, passed away peacefully on Monday June 10, 2026. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 2pm at Divine Love Baptist Church. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Mr. Micheal Carnell Conner entered this world on May 3rd, 1968, to Olivia Thompson and Luther White. He peacefully departed on June 10, 2026. He was a Baptist. He attended Mt Gilead Baptist Church as an adult under the leadership of Overseer Jackie Jerome Johnson Sr. But later on, he became a member of Divine Love Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Burns. He worked for Walmart for 15 years. He was a loving husband, father and especially a great pawpaw. Micheal was truly a man of God. (I KNOW HE IS ALRIGHT) Was his favorite saying. Known affectionately as “Big Mike,” Micheal attended Estacado High School and later studied at Prairie View A&M College. He worked as a people greeter at Walmart, where his warm smile, kind spirit, and friendly personality made him beloved by everyone who met him.

Micheal enjoyed fishing, watching his beloved Denver Broncos and Texas Longhorns, and proudly cheering on his favorite teams. Anyone who knew Mike knew he wasn’t shy about talking sports and showing his team pride.

More than anything, Micheal loved spending time with family, relaxing, having fun, and bringing happiness to those around him. His laughter, kindness, and loving presence touched many lives and created memories that will be treasured forever.

He didn’t let nothing stop him from doing what he wanted to do.

Micheal is preceded in death by his Father Luther White, his mother Olivia Thompson, his stepdad Earl Thompson, his grandfather Floyd Harris Sr. his grandmother Charlsey Mae Harris his brothers Mark Anthony Conner, Earl Preston Cheeks, and Darryl White. his sister Pamela Dathard. his uncles Bobby Joe Kerwin and Floyd Harold Harris Jr. his aunt Evonne Rogers.

He leaves behind his wife of 21 years Michelle Conner, his father-in-law Lawrence Anderson, his mother-in-law Rosa Griggs. his daughters Darneesha Mitchell, Rilee Conner, Zaniyiah. Conner. His sons Christopher Mitchell, Gregory Thomas, De’Erick Conner. His sister Holly Giddens (Greg). His brothers Bernard Conner, Tarrance Conner, Alan White (Patricia), Lawrence Anderson (Shunda)His grandchildren’s Janiya Thomas, Amiryana Johnson, De’Erick Conner Jr, Robert Moore. His cousins Nichelle Conner (Timothy), Shelton Williams, Clayton Morris, Floyd Harris, Shane Harris, His special niece and nieces Tamara Bass, Denisha Morrison (Jeremy), Sylvia Childress. His special nephew and nephews Debrice Britt, Dariaus Cheeks Preston Cheeks, Bernard Roberts, D’onte Roberts, Aaron Conner, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Though he is no longer with us in body, Michael’s love, spirit, and legacy will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
