Mellia Nee Johnson

Mellia Née Johnson, 79, departed this life on Friday, September 8th, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, September 18th, 2023, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Petersburg, TX. Interment will follow at Petersburg Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Mellia Nee Johnson was born on October 19th, 1943. Mellia is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Johnson, Sr.; daughter, Denise Burgess; sisters, Letha F. Burgess and Onnie Mae Brady; brothers, T. J. Clark and Earnest Clark. Mellia leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter, Marilyn Johnson; her sons, Dwayne Clark (Michelle), Terry Burgess, Jessie Johnson, Jr., and Curtis Brady (Elizabeth); a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
