Margaret Ann Boyd-Humphery

Margaret Ann Boyd-Humphery, 65 of Lubbock departed this life on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Margaret Ann Boyd Humphery, affectionately known as “Maggie” was born on March 3, 1958, to Amos Boyd and Martha Mae Simmons Boyd in Lubbock, Texas. She attended school in Lubbock ISD graduating from Estacado High School in 1979. She married Willie Humphery, Jr. and from that union, six children were born: Margaret was a hard and dedicated worker having worked at several nursing homes as a Certified Medication Aide. She always had compassion for those she worked with. Margaret spent most of her life caring for others. Her job was exceptionally done. It is now time for her to take her rest. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Willie Faye Hastings and Carolyn Y. Simmons, and granddaughter, Aliyah Hall. Margaret leaves behind her loving husband, Willie Humphery, Jr. her children, LaTricia LaVette Boyd, Tameka ShaRae Boyd, LaTasha Nicole Boyd, Willie Tymaine Humphery, III, Martha Angenette Humphery, and Anntoinette Louise Humphery; grandchildren: Anthony C. Trotty, Jr., Amari C. Trotty, James P. Kizart, IV, Tyron C. Thomas, Tyshon S. Thomas, Nevaeh R. Humphery, Zamyha J. Humphery, Braylon T. Humphery, Torrian K. Humphery, Kamiah J. Humphery, Mark F. Hall, and MarShawn C. Hall; her great-grandchildren, Serena L. Trotty, and Zyarie K. Thomas; her sisters, Margie (Durral) Evans, Sheila R. Boyd, and Velma. (Manuel) Evans; her brother, Danny L. Boyd; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
