Linda Faye Craig, 68, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at Breaking Bread Ministries. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.

Born on February 1, 1957 in Belzoni, Mississippi, she was the beloved daughter of Ona Mae and Frankie Baity Sr. She grew up in Mississippi, where she obtained her education through Humphey's County School District, graduating in 1972. She was active in volleyball, a basketball star as well as a cheerleader. She continued her education at Jackson State University. Later in life she made her home in Lubbock, Texas, where she worked for Farmers Branch Co-op for 40 yrs, she would be promoted several times before retirement. While working there she also met and married the love of her life James Craig Sr. She built a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to her family.

Linda was a devoted mother to Ken, LaDonna, and James Jr as well as her bonus children, Maranda, Cleo, Trasandra, Laquetta, Akeem and Terell. A cherished grandmother to 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 49 years James Craig Sr., brothers Don Baity Sr. (Anjanette) and Anthony Baity (Kathy). She was preceded in death by her daughter LaDonna Stevenson, mother Ona Mae Baity, father Frankie Baity Sr. grandmothers Rosetta Knox and Arbella Baity, grandfathers George Hunt and James Baity, brothers Frankie Jr and Terry Baity, sister Vickey Baity, a niece Trina and a nephew Terry

She will be remembered most for her kindness, strength, sense of humor, generosity, faith. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo and most importantly spending time with her family. Her legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
