Leroy Calicuitt, Jr.

Leroy Calicuitt, Jr, 72, departed this life on Monday, May 12th, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at 1 pm at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Leroy Calicuitt was born on July 22nd, 1952 to the parents of Leroy Calicuitt, Sr. and Mary Calicuitt in Lamesa, Texas. He graduated from Lamesa High School in 1970, he attended Wayland Baptist University, with a degree in Elementary Education. He worked at Lubbock state School for 17 years, MHMR for 8 years.

Leroy married Wilma Nix Pengraft in 1987 to this union one child was born Antevia Calicuitt. He was a member of the Church of the Living God.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leroy Calicuitt, Sr. and Mary Calicuitt, his sister Eddie Mae Calicuitt, his daughters Antevia Calicuitt, LaVonda McNeal and Lamar Bozeman.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Wilma Calicuitt, his daughters De’Anna Brannon Timmons (Tevin), J’Lia Nathan, Shayna Whitehead (James), and Latrista Boyd (David), his sons Marece Mollett and Warren Brown, his 10 grandchildren Mya Brown, Zivan Boyd, Kezly Boyd, Kyla Boyd, Jeremy Rice, Marquis Whitehead, Marece Mollet, Jr., Tarmarrah Williams, Lanaya Timmons, and Noah Timmons, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, one sister Gloria Calicuitt, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
