Kwansa Washington, 43 passed away on Thursday, October 9th, 2025. Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, October 17th, 2025, at 11 am at Church of the Nations. interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, October 16th, 2025, from 4 pm to 5 pm at Griffin Mortuary.
Kwansa was born to the parents of Beverly Ann Robinson and Kenneth Ray Washington on March 5, 1982, in Houston, TX. Kwansa attended Iles Elementary, Dunbar Junior High, and graduated from Estacado High School in Lubbock, TX. She was currently enrolled at Houston Community College, pursuing her dream of a career in Culinary Arts.
Kwansa was widely known for her radiant smile, warm sense of humor, unwavering loyalty and her exceptional cooking. She had a deep caring heart and was always willing to give selflessly to others, even her very last. One of oher greatest passions was preparing meals for those in need, a mission she embraced with love and compassion.
Kwansa is preceded in death by her mother Beverly A. Robinson, her grandmother Lillie M. Jordan, her uncles Randy Robinson and Patrick Washington, her grandfather's Stachi Lee Robinson and Hollis Washington, her paternal grandmother Dorothy Jacobs, and her sister Stephanie Wells.
Kwansa leaves behind to cherish her memory, her father Kenneth Washington (Shantelle), her daughters Kelis Washington, and D’Shae Pollard, her grandmother Valrie Washington, her stepsister Bry'ana Hawkins, her stepbrother Timothy Scott, her special cousins Courtney Rogers, Ashaunns Johnson, and Jemonica Richardson Glover (Cortney, her best friends Tameka Eddington and Lamar Banks, her second family the Eddingtons, and a host of aunts, uncles, godchildren, cousins, and friends.
