Kerry Lynn Larry, 67, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2 pm at Greater St. Luke Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Griffin Mortuary. Born on August 14, 1958, in Waxahachie, Texas to parents Bobby Joe Larry Sr. and Betty Jean Montgomery. Kerry spent his life rooted in faith, family, and friendship.
He grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Estacado High School in 1977. He went on to attend Texas Tech University from 1977 to 1979. Kerry dedicated much of his professional life to the food processing industry, working as a lab technician at Plains Co-op Oil Mill and later holding positions at Bell Dairy and the Golden Peanut Company. His work ethic and commitment were evident throughout his career.
A lifelong member of Greater St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Kerry accepted Christ at an early age and remained devoted to his faith throughout his life. His church community was a constant source of strength and fellowship for him.
Kerry was known for his outgoing nature and easygoing spirit. He had a wide circle of friends both male and female who were drawn to his loyalty, kindness, and warm personality. Whether cheering on his favorite teams or exploring new places through travel, Kerry embraced life with enthusiasm and joy.
Kerry was preceded in death by his father, Bobby J. Larry Sr., and his nephew Aaron N. Larry.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Betty Larry; brothers Bobby J. Larry Jr. (Kathy) and David Larry (Waynette); sisters Debra Bates (Bennie) and Cassandra Christophe; nephews, nieces, and cousins along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish their memories of him.
