K'avyre Hicks Saunders

K’avyre Hicks-Saunders, infant, departed this life on Monday, October 2nd, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 13th, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. K’avyre Hicks-Saunders was born on May 19th, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas to Lawson Saunders and Karizma Hicks. She died at the age of 4 months on October 2nd, 2023. Since the day she was born she was a miracle baby, she’s been fighting battles since she was born but we knew she could overcome those battles. Her dad gave her the nickname, “Lady Bug '' because she came a day after his birthday, he felt that she was good luck. K’avyre will dearly be missed by her loved ones, aunts, uncles, siblings, grandparents, nieces, and nephews, and will forever be in our hearts and memory. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Saunders; aunt, Linda Faye; great grandmother, Mattie B. Steele; and great grandpa, Freddie Lynn Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory; her father, Lawson Saunders; her mother, Karizma Hicks; grandparents, Tamika F., Margaret W., Philliop H., and Lawrence S.; sisters, Neveah Saunders and Ky’Leeyah Hicks; brother, Kamden Moore; a host of other relatives and friends.
