Josephine Mosely Robinson was born on July 2, 1932, to Katherine Perkins Mosely and Wesley Mosely Sr. in Elysian Fields, Texas. She grew up in a large and loving family alongside her 12 siblings seven brothers and five sisters. During her earlier years, she also resided in Brownfield, Texas, before making Lubbock, Texas her longtime home, where she remained until her passing on September 8, 2026, at the age of 94.

Josephine was married to John L. Robinson for 17 years. During their marriage, eight children were born. She was a loving and devoted mother, whose family meant everything to her. Josephine was a very loving and caring person who always put others before herself. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her kindness, wisdom, and genuine heart.

She was a dedicated member of Greater St. Mark Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as the Women Mission Secretary, Lead Usher, choir member, and Mother of the Church. Her love for God and her church family was evident in her service and commitment throughout the years.

Josephine was a dedicated housekeeper for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and was an awesome seamstress. Her home was always a place of warmth, love, and delicious meals. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome and loved.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved daughters, Dalla Kaye Robinson and Vanessa Robinson; her son, Ritchie "Ricky" Robinson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine Perkins Mosely and Wesley Mosely Sr.; daughters, JoAnn Robinson and Vivian Jean Robinson; sons, Nathaniel Robinson, Don Earl Robinson, and John Franklin Robinson; and grandchildren, Khandace Yankil Robinson, Lashonda Anderson, Brandon Anderson, LaTonya Latrice Robinson, and Dedrick Deshun Robinson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 1pm at Griffin Mortuary. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
