JoAnn Anderson

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, JoAnn Anderson passed away peacefully at the age of 72. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. JoAnn was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to late John L. Robinson and Josephine Mosley.

JoAnn graduated from Dunbar High School in 1973. A dedicated and hardworker, JoAnn spent 30 years as a valued employee at Industrial Molding Corporation in Lubbock, Texas until she retired.

To know JoAnn was to know a woman who truly understood how to live life on her own terms. She threw unforgettable parties and was a whole vibe who enjoyed dancing. She cheered fiercely for the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed playing dominoes, pool and hitting the casino floors. Yet, she found just as much joy in the quiet hours—listening to her favorite music and relaxing with a good western or kung fu movie. Most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her beautiful memory includes her mother, Josephine Robinson; her children, Michael Anderson (Veronica), Nekisha Anderson, Tonoshia Lewis (Delton) and Myesia Anderson; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Della Robinson, Vanessa Robinson and Ricky Robinson and a host of extended family and lifelong friends. She is reunited in peace with her father, John L. Robinson; her daughter, LaShonda Anderson; and her siblings Vivian Anderson, Don Robinson, Nathaniel Robinson and John Robinson.

To honor JoAnn’s wishes, no services will be held. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this time.
