Joan Rogers, 67, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Visitations will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 p.m. Private Disposition will follow under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Joan was born on February 2, 1957, to Rufus and Jimmie Lee Johnson. Joan liked to sit on the front porch and enjoy the sun and she liked to walk to the Family Dollar, watch western shows, and movies. She also liked to watch police shows, to talk mess and tell you how she feels. Joan would keep money in her socks. She liked to wear her clothes backwards or inside out.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Jimmie Lee Johnson, sister Teresa Mitchell, and brother Bruce Mitchell.
Joan leaves to cherish her memory, one son Ralph Johnson, four sisters Dorothy Johnson, Patricia Johnson White, Bessie McGee, and Alicia Faye McGee, two brothers Dannie Mitchell and Vernon Terry McGee, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
