Jimmy Ross

Jimmy Ross, 70, passed away on Monday, August 25th, 2025. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Jimmy was born in Corpus Christi, TX to Helen Sherman and Willard Ross on September 27th, 1954, and raised in Slaton, TX. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1973. Married Melanie in 1974.

He worked 29 years at Fleming Foods, and 17 years at Affiliated Foods. Retired in 2022 where he enjoyed spending time with family, doing yard work, watching sports, NASCAR, and loving on his dogs.

Preceded in death by his mother, Helen Sherman; father, Willard Ross; brother, Ronnie

Survived by his wife, Melanie Ross, daughter, Carie, sons, Brandon (Timothea) and Sheldon (Sonya), multiple grandchildren, and great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
