Jesse Joe Bozeman, 72, departed this life on Friday, October 6th, 2023. Visitations will be held Wednesday, October 18th, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. He will be returned to Anchorage, AK to be spread at Belguia Point. Jesse Joe Bozeman was born on October 26th, 1950, in Wetumpka, Alabama to Jessie Mae Dewhart and Jack Napoleon Bozeman. He was a long-time member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church directed by Rev. Palms. Jesse graduated from Estacado High School and helped win the 1st State Championship in 1968. He went on to enlist in the Army where he served many years here domestically and internationally after getting stationed in Anchorage, AK. He decided to go on to his next career and worked at the United States Postal Service for 35 plus years until he retired. Jesse return to his home town of Lubbock, TX to be close by family and to live out the rest of his years. He was truly a family man. He celebrated his kids, grandkids, and family to the fullest. He also took care of until the end of his life. He gave and Cheryl gave even though they didn’t receive anything in return, That’s the kind of man he was. He enjoyed many things, telling jokes, fishing, camping, bar-b-queuing in the winter, just hanging out with family and friends. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Mae Dewhart and Jack Napoleon Bozeman; his brothers, Kenneth, Rickey and Tony Bozeman, John Young, and Willie James. Jesse leaves to cherish his memory; his daughters, Julia Price, Edna Bozeman, Tanisha Charles (Melvin), and Camille Pedigo; his sons, Jesse Bozeman (Leslie), Julius Price (Priscilla), Ian Pedigo (Tatjana), and Joey Pedigo; his sisters, Ruby Bozeman-Davis, Ruth Brooks, and Rosemary Brown; his brothers, Steve Bozeman (Cheryl) and Lester Bozeman; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
