Janice Delores Weaver Rodgers, passed away on March 31, 2026. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Janice was the first born to James Rodgers Jr. and Bobbie Grant Rodgers-Foreman.

Preceding her in death was her parents, son: Gregory James Rodgers, two sisters: Avis Henry (Billy), Patricia Jackson (Willard), One brother: Clifford Lee Rodgers (Cheryl).

Janice married Otha Weaver "also preceding her in death" they had two children, Gregory James Rodgers and Angela Renee Weaver. Janice gave birth to another son, Michael Williams .

Janice was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Dallas Texas where she was a member of the marching band as a flute player.

Janice united with Lee Chapel AME church at an early age. Her hobbies included cooking, music, excersing, being a professional fitness trainer and a host of other activities.Janice along with her younger son moved to Lubbock Texas around 2014 where she became head cook at Texas Tech University.

Surviving family includes 5 brothers, James Rodgers III (Becky), Larry Rodgers (Lillie), Glen Rodgers, Victor Rodgers, Durrell Rodgers (wife), 2 sisters, Sharon Rodgers Brown, Sherry Rodgers, Stepfather Willie Foreman, a host of nephews, nieces, aunt, uncle, relatives and friends.
