James Walter Johnson Jr.

James Walter Johnson Jr. 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11 am at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. James Walter Johnson Jr. was born on February 19, 1958 to Marie C. Johnson and James Walter Johnson Sr. James was a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, and loving husband. He loved watching animes, karate movies, and was a big Dallas Cowboys Fan. He loved to work and support his family. James would give you his all. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He always looked forward to watching the football game.

James is preceded in death by his father James Walter Johnson Sr., his sister Vanessa Johnson, his three brothers Jerry Ray Johnson, Joseph Mark Johnson, and Robert David Johnson, his nephews Robert James Johnson Sr., and Robert Charles Johnson.

James leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Sharon Renae Johnson, his daughter DaQuisha Busby (Travis), his son James Walter Johnson, the 3rd daughter Tykeedra Johnson (Ad’Lean), his grandchildren Shardane (Rhdon), David (Gianna), and Nicolas, his great grandchildren Z’Kay, Au’ron, and Kaylani, his mother Marie C. Johnson, his sisters Barbara Johnson Sterling, Jacqueline Johnson King, and Sherie Johnson, his brothers Richard Charles Johnson (Allison), Kenneth Darren Johnson, and Tommy Lee Johnson, his sister-in-law Cheryl Walker (Michael), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
