James Patrick Jackson, lovingly known as Bob, Jimmy, and Jim-Bob, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, in his hometown of Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 60. Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, at 10 am at St. Luke Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Monday, 28th, 2025 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Griffin Mortuary.Born on February 19, 1965, in Lubbock, James was a proud graduate of Monterey High School. For more than 18 years, he worked as a dedicated salesman for Lummus Corporation, where he was well respected for his work ethic and warm personality.James was known for his big heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. A devoted family man, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his loved ones, especially playing golf and hanging out with his grandson, Axton. A skilled handyman, James could fix just about anything, and he even taught himself to play the guitar, often filling his home with music.James is preceded in death by his father, James Jackson, his sister, Tama “TJ” Jackson and three brothers, Michael Jackson, Rodney Jackson, and Brian Jefferson.He is survived by his loving wife, Carla Jackson; his daughters, Savana Jackson and Sierra Jackson; and his cherished grandchildren, Axton James Hernandez, Aven Sol Jackson, and Adrienne Grace Sledge. He also leaves behind his mother, Margie Jefferson; his sisters, Deborah Johnson, Rhonda Harris, Chantell Jackson, Deetra Jackson, and Janine Cole; his brothers, Kevin Jefferson and Trea Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who loved him dearly.James will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the love he poured into his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
