James Gene Williams

James Gene Williams, 63, passed away on April 30, 2024. Celebration of life Service will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition will follow under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Gene was born in Lubbock on December 15, 1960 to the parents of JoAnn Dickens and Arma Gene Williams. Gene attended school in Lubbock, TX. Gene was a loving person. He loved his family and he was always where the family was. He was a friend to his friends.
 
James is preceded in death by his brother Marvin Williams, grandmother Vera Hurst, uncle Herold Cavanaugh, uncle and aunt Allen and Eula Johnson.
 
James leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Joann Dickens, his sister Tina Williams, his brothers Donnie Dickens (Jessie), Herman Dickens, Timothy Dickens, Ed Williams, Ronald Williams, and Donald Williams, and a host of other relatives and friends.
