It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Isiah Roberson Jr., who departed this life on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the age of 66. A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
Isiah Roberson Jr. was born on November 28, 1959, to Isiah Roberson Sr. and Bernice Roberson. He was raised up in New Home, Texas, where he finished school, after graduation he went to San Angelo State to play football. After school he begin his journey working in AG related work and then he drove trucks for Hurley in Lubbock, later worked as a plant foreman for many years. He also worked for a company that was contracted to repair Military Vehicles. He was a hard worker in every field he held.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice Roberson and Isiah Roberson Sr.; his sisters, Mary Davis and Sandra Gee; and his brothers, Larry Roberson, Ricky Roberson, and Willie Roberson.
Isiah leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kay Roberson; his daughter, Mikka Washington; his son, Erick Roberson; and two stepdaughters. He is also survived by his sisters, Blanche McCarty and her husband, Charles; his brothers, Ray Roberson and his wife, Clarissa, and Gene Roberson and his wife, Shirley. In addition, he leaves seven beloved grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory. His life touched many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is and was my little brother that I will miss greatly by Arthur Ray Roberson.
