Georgia M. Tryon

Georgia M. Tryon, 69, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11 am at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. 

Georgia Tryon was born on December 7, 1956 to William Tryon and Frances Tryon in Lubbock, Texas. She enjoyed spending time family, listening to music, and playing cards. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed watching soap operas, Lifetime, and Law & Order. The Dallas Cowboys was her favorite team. 

She is preceded in death by her father William Tryon, her mother Frances Tryon, her sisters Barbara Fowler and Shirley Cleveland-Parmes. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Jimmy Hardaway, her daughter Tralisa Tryon (Anthony), her sons DeMardrick Tryon and Kevin Tryon (Tava), her sisters Carolyn Tryon, Marilyn Brown, and Lena Tryon, her brother William Tryon I, her grandchildren Shanice Tryon, Tonisha Cobbs, Ke’Tavaean Tryon, Ka’Ziah Tryon, Ke’Mardrice Tryon, and DeMardrick Tryon Jr., her nieces Tuala Tryon-Caraway, LaTrice Johnson, Africa Wheeler, ShaKiyla Reece, MaKisha Tryon, Tranisha Jackson, Dorthea Brown, Silenna George, and Kimberlee Brown, her nephews Fred Tryon, William Tryon, Timothy Tryon, DeMorris Tryon, Eric Brown, Brent Brown, and Derrick Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
