Fred Troy Lee Maxwell passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 27, surrounded by his loved ones at his childhood home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 2pm at Scott's Place, Lamesa. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Fred was born in Lubbock, Texas to Debra Sue Alexander and Tony Maxwell and was raised in Lamesa, Texas. From an early age, Fred developed many of the passions and talents that would become such a memorable part of who he was. Fred graduated in May of 2017 from Lamesa High School.
Fred was a true car lover, a passion he shared with his father and grandfather. His love for cars became a huge part of how so many people came to know his name—from his YouTube and Facebook videos to the unmistakable sound of his loud truck coming and going places. Fred and his father spent countless hours working on different cars together, refurbishing them for speed and drifting. Those hours were more than time spent under a hood; they were memories built through a shared passion, hard work, and laughter.
Fred was also a chef and loved learning how to cook from the heart, following in the footsteps of his mother and grandmother. rom baking to making something out of nothing, cooking was a gift passed down through his family. Fred especially loved messing with his younger siblings, often making them his willing guinea pigs as he tried out his latest creations. Those moments may have seemed small at the time, but they became memories filled with laughter, love, and sometimes a few tears—memories that his family will carry with them forever.
Fred’s life was filled with things he loved: family, cars, cooking, laughter, and taking those crazy joy rides that became part of his story. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories Fred created will never be forgotten. His laughter, his passions, his personality, and the love he shared with those around him will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
We will cherish the memories, keep his name alive, and carry his love with us forever. Fred will be deeply missed, but never forgotten by his family & friends. Fred’s life was rooted in family, shared traditions, and unforgettable memories.
Preceded in death by mother Debra Sue Alexander, grandmother Pearl Butler, grandfather Fred Alexander, grandmother Agnes Marie Maxwell, and grandfather Troy Lee Maxwell.
Survived by father Tony Charles Maxwell, siblings Cindy Alexander and Jarvis Alexander, nieces Alexondria Alexander, Stormie Jaye Waters, Kinsley Hunter, nephew Seth Waters, and a host of other relatives and friends.
