Floyd Jimison

Floyd Jimison, 65, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11 am at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition will follow under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Viewing will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 3 pm to 6 pm at Griffin Mortuary. Floyd Jimison was born on November 13, 1960, to Thomas Jimison, Sr. and Pauline Jenkins Jimison in Lubbock, Texas. Floyd attended Ella R. Iles Elementary and Dunbar Jr. Sr. High School.

Floyd is preceded in death by his father Thomas Jimison Sr., his mother Pauline Jenkins Jimison, his brothers Paul Edward Jenkins, John Henry Jimison, John Wayne Jimison, Douglas Jimison, Dimmitt Jimison, and his sisters Evely Lacy and Brenda Jenkins.

Floyd is survived by his oldest brother Rabbi Tommy Lee Parker and Thomas Jimison Jr., his nieces Candace, Shasme, Sophia, Sara, Sonya, Shondra, and Pauline, his nephews Kenneth, Reginald, Solomon, Trey, and Kerece, his cousins Tracey, Gilbert, Marvin, and Gene Autry, and a host of other relatives and friends.
