Dwayne Dickson, Sr.

Dwayne Dickson, Sr., 52 passed away on Thursday, May 1st, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at 11 am at Resurrected Zoe Life Ministries. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.

Dwayne Dickson Sr. was born on December 5, 1972, in Lubbock, Texas to Lepolua Dickson, Sr. and Patsy Ruth Dickson. He grew up with his siblings Janice, Donna, Lepolua Jr., Charlotte and Belinda. Dwayne attended Dunbar High School where he excelled in academics and football.

Dwayne is preceded in death by his father Lepolua Sr., mother Patsy, brother Lepolua Jr., and niece Stephanie. He was joined in holy matrimony to Marsha Johnson. To this union were born one son. Their life together spanned over 10 years.

Dwayne's life was marked by love, joy, and service. He was a devoted son, caring brother, loyal friend. His radiant smile and positive energy left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Dwayne really enjoyed fishing and watching football, his favorite team was NFL Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by sons Dwayne Dickson Jr., and Isaiah Dwayne Aaron, sisters, Janice Johnson, Donna Nwogwugwu, Charlotte (Keith) McCarty and Belinda (Alfred) Washington, special friend Felicia Smith, grandkids, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and a host of friends and family.
