Doris Cravin Lacy

Doris Cravin Lacy, 59 of Lubbock, passed away on April 18, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Doris Lacy was born on July 27, 1963, in Lubbock, TX to the parents of Onetta Runels and Lafayette Cravin. She joined Church of Christ at a young age. She graduated from Estacado High School. She worked in many nursing homes as a food service supervisor. She enjoyed bingo, cards, reading, and spending lots of time with family, especially the great conversations with her granddaughter, “Mimi.” She is preceded in death by her parents, Onetta Runels and father, Lafayette Cravin; brother, Tony Runels; and nephew, Quintin Lewis. She is survived by her husband, David Lacy; her two daughters, Kenice Lacy and Tianna Lacy; her three sisters, Sharon Lewis, Regina Lewis, and Sandra Smith; her grandchild, Z’Mya Lacy; her nieces, Shantavia Lewis, Retania Lewis, and Tori Smith; her nephews, Michael Robinson and Tamadric Lewis; a host of other relatives and friends.
