Devin Keith Wiggins

Devin Keith Wiggins, age 43, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 18, 2026. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.

Devin was born on August 24, 1982, in Lubbock, Texas, to David Earl Wiggins and Lorine Ellis. A lifelong resident of Lubbock, he graduated from Coronado High School with the Class of 2000.

From an early age, Devin was known for his strong work ethic. As a teenager, he began his career at River Smith and later attended college in Oklahoma, where he pursued studies in fashion design. He eventually returned to Lubbock and dedicated the past ten years of his career to Davaco.

One of Devin’s greatest joys in life was being a father. In 2006, he welcomed his beloved son, Devin Keith Wiggins Jr., whom he loved wholeheartedly and was immensely proud to call his own. He also shared many meaningful years with Tangela Smith, the mother of his son. Later in life, Devin found companionship and love with Sherrelle Brown, with whom he shared a cherished relationship.

Devin had a deep passion for sports and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. Whether watching football, basketball, or any sporting event, he found joy in the excitement and camaraderie that sports brought. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing laughter, creating memories, and embracing life’s simple pleasures.

Known for his generous heart and unwavering loyalty, Devin was the kind of person who would help anyone in need without hesitation. His mother affectionately knew him as the son who would do anything for her, and he lovingly called her “T-Jones.” He was a devoted son, a caring brother, a loving father, and a dependable friend whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of many.

Though Devin’s life ended far too soon, his legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be treasured.

Devin was preceded in death by his father, David Earl Wiggins; his grandmother, Eola Oliver; his paternal great-grandmother, Armetha Redman; his paternal aunts and uncles, Shirley Thompson, Verdell Mitchell, Danny Thompson, and Elroy Lee; and his maternal aunts and uncles, Ethel Williams, Lillie Bonner, Napoleon Baker, M.C. Hunter, and Willie Hunter.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving mother, Lorine Ellis; his beloved son, Devin Keith Wiggins Jr.; his sister, Regina Bell-Cunningham (Montsho);his significant other, Sherelle Brown; his paternal grandmother, Iris Whitehead; his stepdaughter, Desiree Pitts(Najeer); his stepson, Jermaine Adams; his brother, Tyrone Williams; his step-grandchildren, Zeke and Armani; his niece, Sage Bell; his nephews, Brandon Bell (Brandi), Diondre’ Bell (Tori), Zadrian Bell, Dereon Bell, Dallas Bell, and Diondre’ Bell Jr.; Godmother Jackie Woods as well as a host of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

While our hearts grieve his passing, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on through the love he shared and the countless lives he touched. His memory will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew and loved him.
