Mrs. Dessie Maudene Denney-Deane, 88, departed this life on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 15th, 2023, at 12 noon at Bible Baptist Church, Slaton. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery, Amarillo, TX under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Dessie Maudene Denney-Deane was born on December 21st, 1934, to Ernest and Alta Denney in Amarillo, TX. Dessie is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alta Denney; her husband James E. Deane; sons, Daniel E., Timothy S., and Jonathan Mark Deane; grandson, Evan Michael Waters. Dessie leaves to cherish her memory; her daughters, Lynda Allen (James), Victoria Deane, Crystal “Cricket” (Benjamin) Waters, and Meisha Deane; her sons, David Deane and Steve Deane; her sisters, Thelma Andrew and Katherine Blaylock; her grandchildren, Aleisha Utterback (Brandon), Julie Sears (Lazlo), Ashley Vick (Jeff), Emma Waters, Amie Waters, Jeremiah Waters, Jacob Waters, and Ellie Waters; great grandchildren, Jaxen Utterback, Noah Sears, and Alora Sears; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
