Danny Ray Davis, Jr.

Danny Ray Davis, Jr. 30, passed away on November 8th, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, November 21st, 2025 at 11 am at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, November 20th, 2025, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Griffin Mortuary. June 22nd, 1995, the Lord took my heart out of my chest and placed legs underneath. Danny Ray Davis, Jr. was born 7 lbs 8 oz, premature. 9 months later, he jumped up and ran. Danny loved people. He met no stranger everywhere we went, he told strangers everything I did that day. He had the biggest smile and laugh.

His heart was bigger. He never wanted his friends to fight. If I would give him $5.00 for ice cream, then other kids had ice cream too. The 1st grandchild, he was the light in his grandmother, and grandfather, Bettie and Ronald’s eyes. His birthday was a small holiday for us.

Danny was handsome, strong, and talented. He led the varsity Littlefield football team to District Champs in 2014. He sang and rapped, he was also a champion wrestler often defeating opponents much out of his weight class.

His biggest talent was making everyone feel loved and he was humble and caring. He would overlook fights and wrong doings of his friends because he just wanted everyone to get along. When he got sick the hospital was flooded with friends. His life touched so many and this is the true testament of his life well-lived. November 8, just after midnight my heart died. We will never forget you, Bean-Pop.

Danny is preceded in death by his great grandparents Lillie and Jack Glaspie, grandparents Betty and Ronald Boswell, uncle Roland Boswell, and paternal grandparents Minnie Lee and Ray Dell Davis.

Danny leaves behind to cherish his memory, his father Danny Davis, his mother Alicia Boswell, his sister Malika Davis, his brother Malik Davis, and a host of other relatives and friends.
