Damion Mills

Damion Mills, 44, departed this life on Friday, September 29th, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 13th, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Damion Mills was born on October 27th, 1978 to Doris Pierson. He enjoyed going to school and doing volunteer work. Growing up his favorite cartoon was the Flintstones, so he took on the nickname “Dino”. His favorite activity in the afternoon was going to get “a coke” Damion will forever hold a special place in everyone’s heart and will truly be missed. Damion is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Pierson; stepfather, Marvin Blackwell, Sr.; and grandmother, Bessie McGuire. Damion leaves to cherish his memory; his brothers, Marvin Blackwell, Jr., Cory Blackwell, Reggie Pierson, and Keevin Pierson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
