Curtis Lee Lawson, 52, passed away on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at 1pm at First Baptist Church, Lorenzo. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery, Lorenzo. Visitations will be held Friday, October 31st, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm at Griffin Mortuary. Curtis Lee Lawson was born on June 4th, 1973 to the parents of Billy Ray and Annie P. Lawson. He was the first born of four children. He attended Lubbock Public Schools.
Curtis grew up in Lubbock, TX. He loved basketball, boxing, working out, and meditating through music.
Curtis married Irma Sherman on August 21st, 2021. Curtis was employed with Hampton Farms where he never wanted to miss a day of work.
Curtis will be remembered by the love he showed to all he came in contact with. He would make routine visits to family to check on them and tell them he loves them.. that will be missed.
Curtis is preceded in death by his grandfathers James Miller and Billy Frank Lawson, his grandmothers Linda Miller and Franklin Fennel.
Curtis leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Irma Lawson, his father Billy Ray Lawson, his mother Annie Lawson, his daughters Mekiah Lawson, his bonus daughter Jasmine Hill, his son Curtis Lawson, his bonus son Deon Holguin, his sisters Lashonda Lawson (Shawn) and Laronica “Maggie” Lawson (Rodney), his brother Alvin Lawson, his grandchildren Bella Evans, Alivia Lara, and Isaias Holguin, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
