Clifford D. Ellison, born December 30, 1952, in Amarillo, Texas, passed away on June 30, 2026. He was the son of Nelson Ellison and Margie Parks Ellison. Clifford spent his childhood in Lovington, New Mexico, where he attended school and graduated from Lovington High School in 1970.

He continued his education at West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M University) for a period before returning home and marrying Linda Triplett of Hobbs, New Mexico. Clifford began his career with the City of Lovington and later joined BP Amoco/Centurion, where he served for 38 years before retiring.

Clifford was deeply committed to service, leadership, and brotherhood. He was honored to serve as the 17th Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of New Mexico (MWPHGL of NM). In recognition of his devoted leadership and lasting contributions, he is now remembered as a Past Grand Master, a title reflecting both distinction and reverence within the Masonic community.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Margie.

He is survived by Verma Ellison, who lovingly embraced him as a son, and Sharon Andrews, who shared a sisterly bond with him. He is also survived by his devoted wife, Linda, of the home; his sons, Farrell (Yolanda) and Darrell (Treva); and his grandchildren, Breanna Rabb (Will), Brenden, Torren, Farrah, Alyssa, Josh, Jelani, Jabari, and Jasiri. Clifford’s legacy continues through his great‑grandchildren, Emmanuel, Xiomara, Rhylie, Rhayla, Wrenlee, and Weslynn.

Clifford will be remembered for his steady presence, his dedication to family, his commitment to service, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. His memory lives on in the hearts of all who loved him.
