Charlotte Shipman-Thomas

Charlotte Shipman-Thomas, 53, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, at Griffin Mortuary from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Charlotte Shipman-Thomas was born from William Shipman, Sr. and Bana Jewel Blue on November 12, 1970. She was a mother of 1 son and a sister to two brothers. Her brothers blessed her with 9 nephews and nieces. 

 In her life she enjoyed cooking and learning new recipes, gardening, shopping, and singing karaoke on the weekends with her husband. She was always watching the food network.

 Charlotte was very outgoing and focused on being the best to others. Her career was being a direct support professional and LVN for 16 years, so she knew what she was doing, prolonging, and saving people’s lives. While taking pride in providing good food along the way. She will be missed by many and remembered forever.

 She is preceded in death by her parents William Shipman, Sr. and Bana Jewel Blue, brother Don L. Blue.

 She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Darrell Thomas, her son Tommy D. Shipman, brother William Shipman, Jr., her grandchildren Harmany Shipman-Blue, Carter Shipman-Blue, and Elijah Jamar McDaniel, her sister-in-law Mona Thomas, her nieces Savana Shipman, Moliqua Blue, and Dakotah Blue, her nephews Xavier Essix, Travon Shipman, Don L. Blue, Jr., Stacie Blue, Christopher, and Elijah Shipman, a host of other relatives and friends.
