Charles Arthur Craddock, 76, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 11 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Charles Arthur Craddock was born January 12, 1947, to the parentage of Johnella Vines and Fern Craddock, in Mt. Pleasant, TX.

He joined the Military in July 28, 1969 to serve in the U. S. Army.

He continued on his life with a smile that would light up a dark room. In his happy life, he gave his life to God on May 25, 2014, in Austin, TX where he became a Deacon at Antioch Baptist Church.

He was called home to be with King Jesus October 23, 2023, in his place of residence in Austin, TX in a very peaceful way.

He is preceded in death by: his mother, Johnella Vines, father Fern Craddock, his wife Silvia Craddock, sister Patricia Vines-Scales, three children, Dewayne Arthur Craddock, Patsy DeShone Garner, and Dominique Dorcel Dickson, and many many more family members that welcomed him with open arms to the Heavenly Kingdom.

He leaves behind: his three sisters, Johnetta Vines, Linda Hood, Christean Williams, and Irene Wormly; his children: four sons, Lewis Craddock (Stacy), Charles Bullingor (Lavanda), Le’Roy Newton (Micheline), Milton Garner and his baby girl Shamona Craddock.

He also leaves behind a wonderful world filled with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends, to continue on with the stories of his life that he bestowed upon each and every one of them, and for them to never forget his love and his wonderful smile, his words, wisdom, and the man that he was, as he began the names and legacy that will always live on.
