Chad Kendrick Reed

Chad Kendrick Reed, 45, of Lubbock, Texas, passed on July 11, 2023. Viewing will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Praise Center Ministries. He was born on April 19, 1978, to the parentage of Michael Baucham and Bonnie Reed. Chad attended Lubbock Independent School District. Chad married the love of his life Shikazulyn Reed on May 3, 2006. He loved spending time with his close family and friends. His personality was infectious and could light up any room. Chad was very well loved and will be greatly missed by his family and all he came in contact with. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael Baucham and Bonnie Reed; grandmother, Roberta Hightower; two uncles; and two aunts. He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Shikazulyn Reed; children, Denea Reed, Deshone Coleman, and Dedtrick Reed; second mother and aunt, Shelia Barnes (Rodney); siblings, Daniel Hooper, Nathaniel Reed, Cassandra Reed, Tiffany Reed Hood, Nikrisha Reed, Roosevelt Kinney, III, Auntwenette Kinney, Lashawna Jones, and Tamara Ford; aunts, Ernestine Gray and Sharon Francis; two grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
