Cecil M. Davis

Mr. Cecil M. Davis, born December 9, 1951 to James and Beatrice Davis in Lamesa, Texas, took his eternal leave on October 15, 2025.

Visitations will be held Saturday, November 1st , 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Griffin Mortuary Funeral Home & Chapel in Lubbock, Texas. Memorial services will follow at Griffin from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.

Cecil was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will & Laura Davis; parents, James “Buddy” & Beatrice Davis; Brothers, Ernest Mayfield of Midland, Lee Edward Spencer of Lamesa, Texas and sisters, Betty Moore-Davis of Ft. Worth, Texas and Emma Lane of Corinth, Texas.

Cecil’s memory is left to be cherished by his son Cedric (Toni) Calicuitt of Lamesa, Texas; daughters Tangela (Herman) Watson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Secilia (Devron) Davis-Jeffery of Lubbock, Texas, and Sierra (Trevor) Davis-Metcalf of Slaton, Texas. Granddaughters, Deja Calicuitt Rocha of Lamesa, Texas; Erin & Chauncey Hill of Ft. Worth, Texas; Azaria Davis of Arlington, Texas, Leilani Jewel & SeNiyah Jeffery of Lubbock, Texas; Azalea Jewel of Slaton, Texas and grandson Grayson Metcalf also of Slaton, Texas; one great-granddaughter, Armani Brown; a sister Louise Corn of Abilene, Texas and brother James (Daisy) Davis of Midland, Texas. In addition to a host of extended family, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
