Carla Ganell McCoy, 76, passed away on October 5, 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11 am at Church of the Nations. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 4pm to 6pm at Griffin Mortuary. Carla was born on May 20, 1950, in Lubbock, Texas, to Mildred Hollins and Allen Williams. She was lovingly raised by Mildred and Joe Earl Snell, Jr.

Carla attended public schools in Pampa and Lubbock. During those years she developed a deep appreciation for family, friendships, and music, three passions that would remain close to her heart throughout her life. She went on to attend West Texas State University where she received her degree in Psychology. While she was at WTAMU she participated in the production of Oklahoma! and Texas where she was awarded the Bit Iron Award for her performances.

As the granddaughter of Reverend O. D. Hollins and Orphis Hollins, Carla was introduced to the importance of faith at an early age. She accepted the Lord into her life as a young girl, beginning a lifelong spiritual journey grounded in her love for God and service to others.

Carla was united in marriage to William McCoy, and from this union, her beloved daughter, Camille McCoy, was born. In 2011, Carla embraced another beautiful chapter of motherhood when she adopted Cody McCoy and Tamori McCoy.

Carla was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Reverend O. D. and Orphis Hollins; her parents, Mildred and Joe Earl Snell, Jr.; her aunts, Mary Kennard and Betty Miller; and her sister, Tracy Snell-Jackson.

Carla is survived by her children Craig Miller (Besie), Camille McCoy (Shannon), Tamori McCoy, Cody McCoy, and two grandchildren; brothers Darrell Snell (Bettie), Doyle Snell (Terrie), Allen Williams and Norman Williams; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
